Get your hike on...soon

Jordan Woods Trail Plan
Our soggy spring has halted the project for now, but rest assured that once the mud is a thing of the past, construction will begin on the new Jordan Woods Trail. The park consists of 18 acres of wooded slopes surrounding Cedar Mill Creek. Those who live near the park may experience an increase in noise, dust, and construction vehicles until its completion next winter.

The $1.6 Million dollar project will consist of three trail heads including a parking area and a wetlands boardwalk crossing the stream. The end of the trail promises a view of the creek and surrounding woods, as well as a stone sitting wall for visitors to take it all in. The addition of interpretive signage will highlight the natural features of the park.

According to the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District natural resources staff, impacts to area wildlife, including beavers and pileated woodpeckers will be minimal.

The name of the park will be changed to reflect the district's effort to preserve natural areas, to Jordan Woods Natural Area.
